The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVINNY)
ABVINNY vows to bring quality of life for those who are blind, legally blind, and visually impaired. We also vow to provide quality services, education and up to date technology to help sustain independence within the home, workplace and in the community.
In January 2019, we will be opening a Vision Rehabilitation Center at Top of the Square, 146L Arsenal St., Watertown under Convergys, across from Page Fitness. Here we will have an Aids and Appliance store, an Assistive Technology Lab where we will have different equipment on display for consumers to try, a Rehabilitation Counselor, Job Coaches, Teachers of Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility Training, and Vocational Rehabilitation Training. In the future we plan on adding a Low Vision Clinic with testing on sight. This was all made possible by a grant received from The Jane Deline Foundation.
We SEE a Brighter Future for those who do not see.
ABVINNY has a new outlook on providing our customers with up to date technology and equipment to benefit the needs of the individual. We also assure our consumers that we provide quality services, either through our organization or the many resources that we can reach out to. Lastly, we want to give quality support to the family members through education and resources that is up to date and made available to our organization.
